...a brain tumor was discovered in my strong, super healthy husband, which we later learned was 4th stage, metastasized, melanoma cancer. Thankfully, the surgery was a miraculous success. Even the docs said so.
But a few days later, the reality of what lay ahead sunk in, and panic, anger, and a total loss of what to do consumed me. My husband is the love of my life, and not for a minute… well, maybe a minute, did I worry about him dying, or not getting healed. We just knew he would. And a year later, even after debilitating side effects, he was given a clean bill of health.
My faith about his healing was strong.
My faith in God, His provision, my capacity or ability to bring in the bacon AND care for my husband 24/7, was not. The creeping negativity that I had been pushing away with Pollyanna Pablum would no longer be assuaged, and overtook me, full force.
It was the night of August 30, 2016. I cried. I screamed. I cursed at God, “Where the F are you!!!??”
I went to bed dejected, feeling utterly lost and alone, without the financial ability to take a sabbatical, or any clear path that I could see.
The next morning, I woke up startled, but soothed, as I heard this Voice… Get Back To Love, Maryann.
At the time, I didn’t fully understand what this meant, but it was that pivotal moment when all of life shifted. Step by step, I have experienced and seen the power of Love to overcome fear.
Since then, my husband’s health been restored, and we have experienced a whole new level of abundance… in our relationship, in our finances, in the work I do. What could have been a crushing nightmare with a devastating outcome, turned into one of the most precious periods of our lives. Over and over he has said, “Love heals.”
Love sustained me throughout. Many nights I slept on hospital couches. Though tired, Love provided clarity and wisdom, grounding peace, and strengthening joy. Love increased my capacity like never before. I did not walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I was carried.
Meanwhile, money continued to flow in from unexpected and strange places, often without any relationship to me marketing, selling, or working to make it happen. Often, miraculously out of nowhere, perfect clients found me, begging to work with me, no matter what their investment.
Love provides all we need, want, and desire.
Through it all, I learned what freedom really means, financial, emotional, relational, and professional. Over and over I was reminded of the benefits and blessing of a home-based, lifestyle business. And while I was not able at the time to do anything other than experience what was happening, later the process of combining mindset tools with the power of love for creating new realities of abundance, rather than lack, was revealed to me.
